UASnet and SATN sign Memorandum of Understanding

UASnet and SATN (the South African Technology Network) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
The SATN was established in order to:
Promote the common interests of the UoT's. Present the views of the Universities of Technology on a national and international level
Influence the development of National Education and Training policies in accordance with nature and character of the             Universities of Technology. Promote mobility and employability of University of Technology students, academic quality by building strong Universities of Technology and relevant research and development. Assist with the transfer of appropriate technologies and promote co-operation between the universities and commerce and industry.

Purpose of this MOU is to provide a framework for the development of cooperation between the partners in higher education, research and innovation.  Therefore a memorandum of understanding has been agreed with the following primary list of concrete proposals for further cooperation:


               Exchange current developments and best practices in the field of higher education, research and innovation;

               Facilitate linkages between the partner institutions in research and innovation;

               Encourage student and staff mobility and joint curriculum development.
